Within a few months, Steve’s passion for brokerage and the market knowledge he gained in the research role led him to focus on industrial properties. Steve became a partner in Grubb & Ellis|Paramount Commerce in 2007, and was elected to be the industrial group leader in 2009.
Over the last four years, Steve has closed over $100,000,000 in transactions representing approximately three million square feet for clients such as Franklin Partners, Lumbermen’s Inc, Custer Office Environments, Rowe International, Action Packaging, G&T Industries, First Companies, Comerica Bank, Chase Bank, United Bank, Macatawa Bank, Huntington Bank, Mercantile Bank, and various private companies and investment groups.
Steve’s enthusiasm, hard work, and commitment to excellence have made him a valuable resource to his clients, which include sellers and landlords, as well as buyers and tenants. In 2004, Steve completed his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, becoming one of the youngest designees ever. In 2009, Steve will attain his SIOR designation, a level of professional achievement reached by only 2800 people out of the millions of real estate transaction specialists worldwide. SIOR designees are required to adhere to a strict code of ethics, as well as have a high transaction volume for multiple years.
